St. Paul: Punk of the Month

When St. Paul left Prince to launch his solo career, Prince wasn't exactly sending congratulation cards.

Instead, during the tour, Prince would regularly have the crowd chant:

"St. Paul, Punk of the Month!"

The bit became so legendary that St. Paul showed up at both the First Avenue and Universal Amphitheatre shows to hear thousands of people chant it in person.

Years later, it's still one of the funniest stories from the Prince universe.
